Came here recently for dinner with coworkers. Really liked the atmosphere, nice quick service and overall vibe. I had the Gnocchi con Burrata and absolutely loved it. I want to come back just to have that again. The appetizers were also good.

It was my birthday and I was in the hospital with my recovering son. The thought of eating the same ol hospital food or Harvest Cafe food was depressing. I decided to order Italian since my family doesn't really like it and I LOVE it. Seriously, what's not to love? My favorite Italian food is Pasta Carbonara. I found it on their menu AND they deliver! My son didn't want anything so I ordered the single item and then waited without high expectations - they have to deliver to the hospital entrance - someone might steal it! Well no one did, the food came within the time interval given, and it was still piping hot by the time I got it into the room! It was delivered with utensils and Parmesan and bread and butter. I dumped the Parmesan on before I remembered to take a picture, you can leave it off if you like. It looked prettier without it. But I liked it better with it on it. I ate as much as I wanted and still had 1/3 left without even toughing the bread. Unfortunately there isn't a mini refrigerator or a microwave in the room or hospital unit, so the rest was wasted - so sad - but the amount I did eat was simply delicious and everything I wanted for my birthday. My recovering son even had a few bites and said Hey, that's pretty good! YEAH it was! this dinner was the final lovely touch to my birthday.

My girlfriend and I came here for lunch on a weekday and had an amazing time. The owner and waiter were really nice and attentive. We sat outside since it was a nice day. We were recommended the beef carpaccio which was delicious! Highly recommend getting this. My favorite thing we ordered. Then we ordered a pasta each. I got the squid ink pasta with prawns and my girlfriend got the carbonara. The squid ink pasta was absolutely delicious! I'm lactose intolerant so I prefer choosing non dairy pastas and this one was a winner. My girlfriend also enjoyed her pasta.

Updating my review from 2018. I'm still dining at Osteria Toscana after 38 years, and still ordering my favorite dish, the Taglierini Verdi con Gamberetti, made with a huge serving of spinach pasta, garlic, shrimp, and lots of heavy cream. I'm so happy it's remained on the menu and that the restaurant survived COVID. The price has risen to $33, but it's worth every cent, considering the quality and quantity of the portion.
